Biography: Frederick Grady was born on March 5, 1753 in Duplin County. He was the son of John and Mary (Whitfield) Grady. He married Elizabeth Durham. The couple had 12 Children during their marrage. Frederick Grady was a large landowner and lived his whole life in Duplin County. Land records show that he provided generous land gifts to his children before his death in 1818. During the Revolutionary Frederick Grady Served as a private in the Wilmington District of the North Carolina Militia. Pay records reveal that his service was extensive. After the war he lived out the rest of his life as a farmer in Duplin County. |
